Can you please tell me what this plant is?
It has large bulbs, and ower spears grow from the side of the bulb and the leaves grow from the bulb’s crown. It is very tough and multiplies well, so I transplant it to di cult spots in the garden.
e roots are similar to clivia and agapanthus. Jennifer Langman, Mathoura, NSW
DERYN THORPE SAYS These are crinum lilies, probably Crinum powelii ‘Alba’. The bulbs thrive in well-drained soil in dappled shade beneath trees in warm climates.
