protection for strawberries
My wife and I love the strawberries that we grow but so do the local birds. I protect the fruit by making a cover from the bottom half of a 2L milk bottle. I punch holes in the bottom for ventilation, drill holes in opposite corners to hold it to the ground with wire pins and scallop out one of the other corners so as to not damage the stems. The covers are placed over the strawberries when they are green. We both look forward to the Gardening Australia
TV show and enjoy reading the magazine.
