how to train a climbing rose

For maximum flowering on a climbing rose, bend and train the canes horizontally to encourage lots of buds along the length of the cane to shoot and form flowers. Here, some canes have been secured to the wire guides and each other with string, forming a striking patterned framework. All the stems that have formed along the canes have been pruned back to one or two buds, which will shoot to produce masses of flowers.
