where the heart is
Transforming under-utilised spaces, like the ones I’ve described, into places of beauty, productivity and biodiversity is extremely rewarding, but it’s the tending of my own garden (above) that still brings me the most joy. My garden is my sanctuary, and a place where I continue to experiment, albeit on a more modest scale than the projects in my working life. I’m still collecting data on our water use, and I’m still growing food – both grounding constants in an often crazy world.
