SETTING UP HOME

Last year we drilled a hole in the wood at the end of our wheelbarrow planter, hoping the spotted pardalotes that visit our garden might find it a suitable spot for nesting. We were so pleased to discover last week that a male and female are taking turns to burrow into the soil, to make a nesting chamber at the end.
