SITTING PRETTY

We just had to share one of the entries we received in our recent wildlife book competition… Living with the Australian bush on our property boundary gives us endless pleasure, especially when wildlife visits. This kookaburra has become very friendly, sitting for ages in our garden, patiently watching for any movement of a tasty morsel in whichever area I happen to be working. On this occasion, I tucked my gardening gloves into the spade handle before heading inside for lunch.

Kooka flew down from the nearby tree and perched on the spade, as if it wanted its photo taken!
