Damaged roads restored
MORE roads in Laidley are set to get flood damage restoration work starting this month.
Lockyer Valley Regional Council crews will focus on John St, Edward St and Clearidge Crt, Laidley.
Mayor Steve Jones said it was further proof of the council’s commitment to restore local flood-damaged infrastructure.
Weather permitting, crews will be on site early October, with works expected to take about three weeks to complete.
Cr Jones said the works would include pavement reconstruction, reconstruction of floodway approaches, replacement of kerb and channelling as well as road furniture and markings.
“Access to some properties may be impacted by these planned works, but if that is the case, landholders will be contacted by council in due course,” Cr Jones said.
“To ensure the safety of workers and residents, we ask motorists to be patient and comply with any traffic control measures.”
Restoration works are delivered under the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements.
