CHRISTO­PHER Martin Rieker ap­peared in Gat­ton Mag­is­trates Court charged with driv­ing with­out due care and at­ten­tion or driv­ing with­out rea­son­able con­sid­er­a­tion for other per­sons us­ing road or place. His Hyundai Getz was found dam­aged in trees on Septem­ber 13. Po­lice went to his ad­dress where he made full ad­mis­sions to speed­ing and be­ing dis­tracted by his CD player. He was fined $400.

YOUSIF Al Ewayed, Sami Al Jourani, Ard­hwan Ard­hwan, Hus­sein Dakhel Mid­hwad and Bader Rashed ap­peared in Gat­ton Mag­is­trates Court charged with pub­lic nui­sance. On Au­gust 18 po­lice re­ceived com­plaints af­ter the men were run­ning through Supa IGA Gat­ton yelling and block­ing pedes­trian traf­fic in Rail­way St. They trapped a man in the su­per­mar­ket be­fore staff in­ter­vened. Their be­hav­iour scared staff and by­standers. Ard­hwan was charged with wil­ful dam­age af­ter he struck the same man’s car with a sand­wich board. They were each fined $200 and Ard­hwan fined $350.

They each agreed to a 12-month good be­hav­iour bond to­wards their vic­tim.
