WHETHER it is a family photo, landscape or a framed portrait, photography is a powerful medium which captures life.

However, it’s not as simple as just pressing a button, with a wide range of skills and programs behind the scenes capturing and enhancing the moment.

The inner-workings behind that perfect photo will be revealed in Forest Hill as shutter bugs gather to enhance their skills at a Photo Editing workshop this Sunday.

John Heseltine and Cheryl Eggleton from Laidley Camera Club will host the workshop, giving budding amateurs a few helpful tips.

“For a photographer, it gives them an idea of creative photography with different options in Adobe Elements and Adobe Photoshop,” Mr Heseltine said.

“We’ll cover all the aspects of Photoshop and the basics of editing.”

Mr Heseltine said participants would be required to bring their laptops along with either Adobe Photoshop or Elements installed. The Photo Editing Workshop will be held thanks to RADF funding.

The Photo Editing Workshop will be held at the Forest Hill School of Arts this Sunday, October 13, from 1pm.

It will be the first of a series of workshops.
