Pride side by side
Prenzlau community gathers for fun day
HUNDREDS gathered to celebrate the first ever Prenzlau Pride Day on the weekend and raise money for a good cause.
Prenzlau State School and the Prenzlau Fire Brigade joined forces to fundraise and hold a fun community event at the school.
Prenzlau State School principal Lisa Noonan said the fundraiser went really well.
“People enjoyed their afternoon out in the country,” she said.
“The kids enjoyed the face painting and Squirt the little fire truck.
“It will be bigger and better next year.”
As well as the kids’ activities there were school displays, a Queensland Regional tae kwon do demonstration, raffles and a show and shine featuring around 40 cars.
Principal Noonan thanked everyone for coming along and everyone who gave up their time to help out on the day. RIGHT: Hannah and James Herrmann.
