Raising awareness on mental health
FREE food and hot drinks hit the tables in an effort to raise awareness on mental health issues within the Lockyer Valley.
As part of Mental Health Week, the Lockyer Community Centre hosted a special morning tea last Thursday.
A number of organisations were represented on the day including Black Dog, ARASMI, Headspace, Kambu and beyondblue.
Anne James from the Lockyer Community Centre said it was the first time the morning tea and information session had been held at the centre.
The event was not just for those suffering from a mental illness but carers too, with plenty of information on offer.
