OBT Financial Group named top of the class at Lock­yer Val­ley awards

OBT Financial Group has claimed top hon­ours at the Lock­yer Val­ley Busi­ness, Tourism and Ap­pren­tice­ship Awards, win­ning Busi­ness of the Year.

The Gat­ton busi­ness was hon­oured for their com­mit­ment to clients, re­la­tion­ships and ex­cep­tional ser­vice in front of a packed town hall.

Brett Garmeis­ter said he was ex­tremely proud of the busi­ness.

“(I’m) proud of the way that OBT had grown over the years with the sup­port of a great team and won­der­ful clients that re­ally en­gage and part­ner with OBT to achieve amaz­ing re­sults,” he said.

Lock­yer Val­ley Re­gional Coun­cil Mayor Steve Jones said OBT Financial Group con­tin­ued to lead the way in the financial ser­vices sec­tor.

“They want only the best for their clients and en­sure they make in­formed, strate­gic de­ci­sions about their busi­ness and per­sonal wealth,” Cr Jones said.

OBT Financial Group has been awarded the 2015 Busi­ness of the Year at the Lock­yer Val­ley Busi­ness, Train­ing and Ap­pren­tice­ship Awards.

The busi­ness was also named the Pro­fes­sional, Health and Fit­ness Ser­vices Award win­ner.

Mayor Steve Jones con­grat­u­lated OBT Financial Group on its com­mit­ment to in­no­va­tion in the financial sec­tor.

“OBT Financial Group con­tin­ues to lead the way in the financial ser­vices sec­tor,” Cr Jones said.

“Their com­mit­ment to their clients, client re­la­tion­ships and ex­cel­lent ser­vice is com­mend­able, to say the least.

“They want only the best for their clients and en­sure they make in­formed, strate­gic de­ci­sions about their busi­ness and per­sonal wealth.”

Star of Chan­nel Seven’s break­fast pro­gram Sun­rise, MC James Tobin kicked-off the night’s en­ter­tain­ment and kept guests on their toes with his charm­ing per­son­al­ity.

An­other no­table win­ner on the night was Gehrke Grains and Trans­port Pty Ltd, awarded with the Mayor’s Award.

“Gehrke Grains and Trans­port are a long-stand­ing busi­ness that pro­vides em­ploy­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties to many res­i­dents,” Cr Jones said.

“Ad­di­tion­ally, Ju­lian’s in­volve­ment in the Veg­etable Can­nery fa­cil­ity will be a huge ben­e­fit to lo­cal farm­ers in the fu­ture.”

“Con­grat­u­la­tions to this fam­ily-owned busi­ness, who are un­doubt­edly worth win­ners.”
