Only three clubs and a putter were allowed to be used in the single stableford competition held last Wednesday but this did not stop Dawn Ford and Donna Mellon from scoring 38 pts each. There is obviously no need to carry so many clubs when good golf can be played with so few. Dawn won on count back and also played the best second shot on 4 to win the pin, while Betty Walther won the lucky card. Carol Blake enjoyed the chockie.

Saturday’s single stableford event was won by Mandy McDonnell, scoring 36 pts closely followed by runner up Laurie Didsman, 34 pts. The best second shot on 7 was played by Margaret Grant and Carol Blake won the lucky card. Betty Exelby delighted in the chockie.

The annual Breast Cancer Research charity day was held on Sunday and the winners of the two person ambrose were Brock Harm and Cameron Sippel, 35¼ net. The runners-up were Mal and Amanda McDonnell, 38 net. A great day was held as all players received a prize and $1000 was raised for breast cancer research. A big thank you to the Gatton businesses who donated prizes. Today’s competition is a single stroke and on Saturday a 4BBB stableford, draw for partners will be held.
