Twice the legal limit
A YOUNG man has been caught driving while over twice the legal alcohol limit, the Gatton Magistrates Court has heard.
Police Prosecutor Steve De Lissa said Hugh Douglas Young, 17, was pulled over on the Warrego Hwy, due to his erratic driving.
An RBT revealed a reading of 0.102.
Young’s licence was suspended immediately.
The court heard Young would lose his job without his licence and he admitted it was a “foolish decision.”
Magistrate Graham Lee said his good traffic history and age went in his favour.
Young was fined $600 and his licence was disqualified for three months.
