Parents feel lack of justice

Gatton Star - - NEWS -

GATTON truck driver Craig Andrew Yensch, 41, has been found guilty of dangerous driving that killed Gympie dairy farmer Jeremy Josefski and his friend Nicole Daly three years ago.

The duo had been driving on the Newell Highway in central NSW when the incident occurred.

Yensch was found guilty of dangerous driving causing Josefski and Daly’s deaths and was sentenced in Albury, NSW, to a two-year intensive correction order, a form of supervision in the community, and had his licence disqualified for 12 months.

Yensch was driving one of the vehicles involved in the horror crash on October 16, 2015, in West Wyalong, NSW.

Both Josefski’s and Daly’s families watched last Friday’s outcome via video link in the Gympie courthouse.

During Yensch’s trial last year, it took the jury just 17 minutes to deliver a guilty verdict and since then his sentencing had been adjourned in the NSW courts three times.

Josefski’s parents, Garry and Debbie, said they felt like justice had not been done.
