AGENTS Boyd O’brien Bartholomew re­ported a yard­ing of 637 head of cat­tle on Tues­day.

The mar­ket for all de­scrip­tions was firm to slightly eas­ier for the lesser-qual­ity types.

An out­stand­ing line-up of the heav­ier feeder steers came to hand and sold to a very com­pet­i­tive panel of buy­ers.

Ex­port sold well with the bet­ter end of the cows in very strong de­mand.

J. and R. Shall­cross, Wool­mar, sold euro-cross vealer steers for 268.2c/kg, weigh­ing 263.8kg and re­turn­ing $707.

Grey­man-cross vealer heifers from Tin­ton Graz­ing, Esk, sold for 236.2c/kg, weigh­ing 295kg to re­turn $697.

R. and B. Brook, Fas­sifern Val­ley, sold charo­lais-cross year­ling heifers for 320c/kg, weigh­ing 315kg to re­turn $1008.

Charo­lais-cross light feeder steers from B. and D. Her­mann, Kholo, sold for 302.2c/kg, weigh­ing 425kg and re­turn­ing $1284.

C. Zis­chke, Gat­ton, sold char­bray-cross light feeder heifers for 262.2c/kg, weigh­ing 350kg and re­turn­ing $918.

Heavy santa feeder steers from RB In­vest­ments, Boonah, sold for 320.2c/kg, weigh­ing 502.2kg to re­turn $1608, and 319.2c/kg, weigh­ing 515.7kg to re­turn $1646.

Charo­lais-cross zero- to two-tooth ox from Val­ley Pride Pro­duce, Boonah, sold for 312.2c/kg, weigh­ing 500kg to re­turn $1561.

RB In­vest­ments also sold zero- to two-tooth ox for 308.2c/kg, weigh­ing 558.6kg and re­turn­ing $1722.

Tin­ton Graz­ing, Esk, sold eight-tooth ox for 287.c/kg, weigh­ing 690kg to re­turn $1982.

Mer­il­lyn Sten­zel, Boonah, sold an­gus-cross four-tooth heifers for 264.2c/kg, weigh­ing 430kg and re­turn­ing $1136.

Grieve Bros, Colin­ton, sold brah­man-cross cows for 250.2c/kg, weigh­ing 550kg to re­turn $1376.

Val­ley Pride Pro­duce, Boonah, also sold a charo­lais bull for 250.2c/kg, weigh­ing 975kg to re­turn a to­tal of $2439.
