Knives and drugs found in car

HELDION Po­lice made a con­cern­ing dis­cov­ery af­ter in­ter­cept­ing a ve­hi­cle with stolen plates.

Po­lice in­ter­cepted a ve­hi­cle in Heli­don on Christ­mas evening, and es­tab­lished the regis­tra­tion did not match the ve­hi­cle.

Of­fi­cers found stolen plates were zip tied to cover the orig­i­nal plates of the rental ve­hi­cle.

Three oc­cu­pants from the Ip­swich area were de­tained.

A search lo­cated a num­ber of knives and home-made weapons as well as dan­ger­ous drugs and uten­sils.

A 26-year-old male will at­tend Toowoomba Mag­is­trates Court on Fe­bru­ary 19 for drug driv­ing, pos­sess­ing tainted prop­erty, pos­sess­ing knives in a pub­lic place and pos­sess­ing a dan­ger­ous drug.

A 28-year-old fe­male will at­tend court on the same date for pos­sess­ing knives in a pub­lic place and pos­sess­ing a drug uten­sil and a 34-year-old male will also ap­pear for driv­ing whilst dis­qual­i­fied.
