Millions allocated to Lockyer roads
LOCKYER Valley Regional Council will receive almost $4 million to upgrade and maintain local roads through the Federal Government’s Roads to Recovery Program.
Assistant Minister for Roads and Transport and Federal Member for Wright Scott Buchholz said the program played a vital role in supporting councils to keep people safe on our roads, and to get them home quicker.
“By announcing the funding allocations now, council can move ahead with certainty to budget for important road upgrades and maintenance projects over the next five years,” Mr Buchholz said.
“Residents expect safer, and better local roads and I’m proud that the contribution from the Coalition Government will help achieve that.”
