Aus­tralia Day

Cel­e­bra­tions for Aus­tralia Day will be in full swing across the Lock­yer Val­ley and Som­er­set Re­gion on Satur­day. Both coun­cils will host their in­di­vid­ual cit­i­zen of the year awards. Mar­burg Trots

Fol­low­ing on from the Aus­tralia Day cel­e­bra­tions, the Mar­burg Pac­ing As­so­ci­a­tion will hold a race meeting on the Mon­day pub­lic hol­i­day. The Mar­burg races is a great day out for the whole fam­ily. Gates open at 11am with the first race at about mid­day with bar, food and kids en­ter­tain­ment. Hack show

The Lock­yer Eques­trian Group will host its an­nual t-shirt hack show, which is open to rid­ers from across south east Queens­land. The com­pe­ti­tion will con­sist of hack­ing classes from lead rein to open as well as dres­sage. The fi­nal event of the day will be a fancy dress for horse and rider.
