Decades of vital service awarded

Gatton Star - - NEWS -

MEMBER for Lockyer Jim Mcdonald recently presented certificates to two of the electorate’s longest serving justices of the peace.

Mary Buglass and Christine Pyers have been serving the community as registered justices of the peace for 25 and 40 years respectively.

Looking back on their service, both women commented it had been a pleasure to serve the community and assist those in need.

During their many years of service, Mary – who previously served as a JP in New South Wales for 15 years – and Christine have devoted hours to signing thousands of documents, statutory declarations and affidavits.

Even after their decades of service, the pair have no immediate plans to retire.
