Spring fest is a highlight of the calendar each year for our MP

THE Laidley Spring Festival is a highlight on Lockyer’s social calendar and is a drawcard for many visitors to Laidley from around the nation.

This wonderful event showcases many activities such as the Quilt and Craft Expo, Spring Orchard Show, art and floral exhibitions, demonstrations at the Laidley Pioneer Village and a street parade, not to mention delicious country culinary delights.

Visitors can walk down streets and view shop fronts, some having maintained the 1900s facade of an early village setting, providing a unique example of the area’s significant historical value and a reminder of the memory of the pioneer farming families of the region.

The Laidley Spring Festival has grown significantly since the event’s commencement more than 25 years ago and is a great way to get city folk to the bush to experience our great country hospitality while enjoying the historical significance of the area.

The Laidley Spring Festival provides opportunities for the large number of visitors and community members to experience the history and culture of the district as well as providing necessary social and economic opportunities for the region.
