From its outward stylish veneer and dark storylines, Marcella might give the impression that it’s a taut and sophisticated drama, but the fact is that the whole setup is bordering on bonkers. Which, for many, makes it at least two times better. Who knows where this crazy crime drama, starring the excellent Anna Friel as the rather forgetful titular London detective, is headed? At this point, it could go anywhere. But is Marcella really capable of killing? Perhaps that is one stretch too wide. Tonight, Marcella tries to find the taxi driver from outside Grace’s ( Aussie Maeve Dermody) house, fearful that he saw her on the night of the murder.
