HUNT FOR THE WILDERPEOPLE

Defiant young city kid Ricky Baker (Julian Dennison) is sent to the country to live with his foster aunt Bella and cantankerous foster uncle Hec (Sam Neill). When tragedy strikes, Ricky goes on the run – with Hec in hot pursuit, and a national manhunt is organised to find them. This engaging New Zealand film by director Taika Waititi (Boy) is part road trip comedy and part adventure, with wild boar hunts and the pair’s attempts to survive in the bush. As the outlaws are tracked down, they must decide whether to go out in a blaze of glory or overcome their differences and survive as a family. A superb and emotionally honest tale.
