A GROVEDALE retiree has had his new car stolen from outside Geelong Hospital.

Stan Copley, 79, was visiting a friend having cancer treatment on Monday.

Mr Copley said he parked on Bellerine St after 4.30pm, and returned about 15 minutes later because his friend was too sick to see him.

Mr Copley bought the silver Mazda 2 six weeks ago. He said his insurance company would declare the car stolen if it was not found within two weeks.
