No word on split

RUSSELL Crowe has appeared on Twitter to promote his new album and update fans on his latest workout — but the Oscar-winning actor has remained silent on the reported breakdown of his marriage.

The Twitter sales pitch is the first time the world has heard from Crowe since it was reported on Monday that his marriage of nine years to Danielle Spencer had ended.

‘‘Crowe/Doyle Songbook vol iii available through i-tunes or hard copies via http://www. parkbeachmusic. com. au,’’ the tweet reads.

He also tweeted: ‘‘18 km stat bike , 25 mins weights, now for Yoga.’’

The Gladiator star is currently in the US filming the biblical epic, Noah, and has been regularly informing Twitter followers on his exercise regime.

The latest reports on the high- profile ‘‘ break- up’’ suggest Crowe, 48, and Spencer, 43, have been estranged since late last year, although neither has publicly confirmed the separation.
