Praise where it’s due for responsible riders

-

AFTER actually witnessing some exemplary behaviour from some cyclists in Torquay, I felt compelled to put pen to paper because I’ve been critical of the poor behaviour of some of their ilk in the past.

The group in question, a fine collection of strapping, lycraclad males, was riding down Horseshoe Bend Rd. On hearing my vehicle approach from behind, they politely fell into single file and allowed me past their large and rather gaily coloured peloton.

This manoeuvring on their behalf was a win for all in transit at the time and these lads are to be applauded for their actions.

As a 10-year-old, my friends and I used to do the very same thing when riding our bicycles to school. If only other cyclists could learn from this group and show such lofty intellect. Andrew Read,
