THE mayor o f J i l l Meagher’s Irish home town has thanked Melburnians for their overwhelming unity and support after her death.
In a letter to Melbourne residents, Drogheda Mayor Paul Bell said the sight of thousands marching in the 29- year- old’s honour, and tributes from flowers to roadside memorials, had touched many residents of the Irish town, about 50km north of Dublin.
