Rehab to delay Green Day tour
GREEN Day’s Australian tour plans are on hold while frontman Billie Joe Armstrong remains in rehabilitation.
‘‘His rehab is no joke," the chairman of Armstrong’s record label, Rob Cavallo, told Rolling Stone.
‘‘He’s under medical supervision for a while to get him clean. All I can say is I don’t know if we’ll see him before or after Christmas."
Armstrong was admitted to a rehabilitation centre after an expletive-fuelled rant at a festival in Las Vegas last month.
All touring has been cancelled. The band’s next tour was due to start on November 26.
An Australian leg was expected to be announced but has now been delayed.
