Patience urged over Barrabool Rd

-

I HAVEhad many residents asking me when the council will fix Barrabool Rd.

My advice has been this: please understand Barrabool Rd is the responsibility of VicRoads road rather than of COGG.

I have spoken with the Member for South Barwon, Mr Andrew Katos, and VicRoads, and they have advised they are unable to reseal the road until the weather improves.

I understand this is a frustrating time for all residents, as I, too, travel this road at least twice a day. As soon as I hear any updates as to when this road will be fixed, I will advise residents.

For all concerned, I pose this request: please consider others along this stretch of road, as stones do fly up and hit other cars. Your patience and careful driving is appreciated by all.

Ron Nelson, candidate for Deakin Ward,

City of Greater Geelong
