FOLLOWING the revelations about drug cheating in cycling at the highest level, there is a story going around that the demand for land/housing in the muchhyped new housing estate at Armstrong Creek has fallen dramatically— particularly among the cycling fraternity — due to the taint now attached to the Armstrong name.
But demand from football, cricket and netball enthusiasts is said to be not so badly affected.
But is there any truth in the rumour authorities are now considering changing the name of the suburb to Cadel Evans Creek?
Inclusion in their policy platform by one of the new mayoral aspirants could be an advantage.
