Top job is still to be won or lost

-

WITH a little over a week until we find out who our new mayor is, we really are no clearer on just who that may be.

While there have been polls, forums, policies and plenty of talking, the top job is still there to be won and lost.

Yesterday, the Addy thought we’d take the pulse to see how recognisable the candidates were.

Our unscientific test of voters revealed that Keith Fagg and John Mitchell were the candidates who most voters recognised from our slew of candidate pictures.

What does this mean for the results? It’s hard to know.

It’s clear, though, that as the final push towards victory is made by our candidates, the time for polls, speeches and recognition tests is drawing to a close. Now it’s over to the voters. Whoever wins, this election has already been a winner for Geelong with the quality and quantity of policies and candidates.
