LOOMING LORNE AUCTION

THE building that popular Lorne surf retail store Sharky’s calls home will go to auction at 2pm on Saturday. Great Ocean Road Real Estate’s

Ian Stewart said Sharky’s would be staying on as a tenant.

With a rental return of $65,000 plus outgoings, he expects the property to go for about $1 million.

“There’s been moderate interest but things are ticking away pretty nicely with it,” Mr Stewart said.

“The location is an absolute belter.”

He said the property had attracted the interest of smaller, self-managed super funds keen to add to their portfolio.

Mr Stewart said out-of-town buyers familiar with Lorne’s growth were also looking to grab a slice of the town’s market.

CLOSE TO EVERYTHING

FOR those looking at picking up a premium CBD investment, 27-29 Malop St, Geelong, has hit the market with Gartland Real Estate.

Leased to two tenants, the property currently takes in an overall income of $150,384 per annum.

Gartland commercial sales and leasing manager Michael De

Stefano said the activity centre Zone 1 site offered a great yield in a perfect location.

“They’re excellent tenants, it’s a great location and it’s got a bit of size about it as well,” Mr De Stefano said.

“It’s an immaculate property, particularly the office. It has got car parking and it’s close to the waterfront, close to Deakin, close to shopping centres — it certainly ticks all the boxes.

“It’s only just hit the market but we’ve had a little bit of interest in it, which you’d expect in a property like that.”

27-29 Malop St will be auctioned on Wednesday, March 4.
