Aussie dies on toboggan ride
A 22-YEAR-OLD Australian travel agent who friends described as “always the life of the party” has died on a late night toboggan ride at a popular slope in Canada.
It’s believed Mitch Lawry, from the NSW Riverina town of Mullengandra and worked at Flight Centre, snuck into the Edmonton Ski Club when it was closed.
Paramedics were called about 1.50am on Sunday and found Lawry with lifethreatening injuries after witnesses said he hit a tree.
Mr Lawry was pronounced dead in hospital.
