Greste due back home today

JOURNALIST Peter Greste is expected to land in Brisbane today after spending more than 400 days in an Egyptian jail.

His family will greet him at a much-awaited private reunion at Brisbane International Airport.

Greste has posted a picture to Twitter, celebrating his freedom in Cyprus before making his way back to Australia.

“Free in Cyprus! Feels sweet. Peter back online for the first time in 400+ days. Special thanks to Mike 4 nursing twitter,” it read.
