Market makes it 10 in a row
THE Australian sharemarket closed higher yesterday, its 10th straight session of gains.
At yesterday’s close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 69.9 points, or 1.22 per cent, higher at 5777.3, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 67.5 points, or 1.19 per cent, at 5733.7, according to preliminary figures.
On the ASX 24, the March share price index futures contract was 82 points higher at 5725, with 37,955 contracts traded.
