Knee pain ends Jackson season
CANBERRA’S WNBL finals hopes have been dealt a big blow with Opals superstar Lauren Jackson ruled out for the remainder of the season with further knee problems.
Jackson played only six games in December and January for the Caps after an 11-month break with hip and knee issues that kept her out of last year’s world championships. Australia’s most decorated basketballer of either gender, 33-year-old Jackson has become increasingly injury-prone over the past four years.
She needs more surgery on her injured knee, possibly as early as next week.
