Market closes higher again

THE Australian share market closed higher yesterdat, its 11th straight session in the green, despite losses in the materials and energy sector.

At the close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 33.7 points, or 0.58 per cent, higher at 5811.0, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 31.8 points, or 0.55 per cent, at 5765.5, according to preliminary figures.
