Japan told to say it’s sorry

-

SOUTH Korea has repeated a call for Japan to apologise to wartime sex slaves known as “comfort women”, warning “time is running out”.

Historians say up to 200,000 women from Korea, China, Indonesia and other Asian nations were forced into sex slavery for Japanese troops in World War II.

President Park Geun-Hye urged Japan to offer an apology as the number of survivors dwindles.

“We now have only 53 survivors, aged nearly 90 on average. Time is running out to restore their honour,” she said.
