Cruise control ditched for Foxxy romance
THE Cruise control is said to be off Katie Holmes’ love life after she was seen strolling hand in hand on a Miami beach with fellow actor Jamie Foxx.
But any love story between the pair is far more complicated than their barefoot outing would suggest.
For while this was their first public appearance together, Tom Cruise’s ex-wife and the Django Unchained star, 49, are said to have been secretly dating since 2013.
The undercover nature of their relationship is reportedly due to a condition imposed by Cruise that banned Holmes, 38, from publicly dating for five years after their 2012 divorce.
RadarOnline reports that Holmes agreed not to publicly date another man for five years in exchange for $5.8 million in child support and $6.2 million for herself. “Katie signed a clause in her quickie divorce settlement that prevents her from embarrassing Tom in various ways, like talking about him ... or publicly dating another man for five years after the divorce,” a source said.
“She’s allowed to date, but she cannot do so in a public fashion, and she’s not supposed to let any boyfriend near their daughter, Suri.”
Reports of a romance between Holmes and Foxx began circulating after they were seen dancing onstage together at a charity event in 2013.
They were seen separately boarding the same private jet in Paris in May.
Foxx, who worked with Cruise on 2004 film Collateral, has previously insisted the pair were “just friends”.
