IN recognitio­n of the heart beginning to beat 21 days after conception, Two Feet and a Heartbeat is having a 2.1km walk tomorrow at the Fyansford Common from 9am-noon. The event is a tribute to people who have been lost to congenital and childhood heart disease. Walkers receive a pair of Two Feet and a Heartbeat socks as well as a coloured flag to carry during the walk. All proceeds of the walk will go towards researchin­g the cause and treatment of childhood heart disease and the support services offered by Australian hospitals. SPLASHDOWN is putting on a birthday party to celebrate reaching 30. There will be heaps of free activities and fun for the kids. Come beat the cold weather in the new indoor splash park today from 11am to 2pm at Splashdown, 77-129 Coppards Rd, Moolap. Free entry. PIKE Street is showing at GPAC today at 1pm and 8pm. Presented by American award-winning actor and playwright Nilaja Sun. This one man show will bring to life a variety of characters from the lower east side of Manhattan in New York, and follow a struggling family who are trying to navigate the next big storm that life throws at them. TOMORROW from 11am to 1pm there’s a skateboard­ing clinic at Boardrider­s Torquay. Sign up on Facebook and skate with some of the best coaches in the region. Appropriat­e for people of all ages and all board skill levels. This is a free event and there will be giveaways on the day.
