I Am Legend 9GO!, 8.30pm, M (2007)

Based on Richard Matheson’s 1954 vampire novel, this film sees Will Smith deliver a moving performance as the last man on Earth after a virus has transformed the population into bloodthirsty creatures. In a devastated, deserted Manhattan, military scientist Robert Neville (Smith) wanders the streets from dawn to dusk, struggling against loneliness, boredom and the fading hope of finding a cure or other survivors. But at night he has a different ordeal, as the darkness belongs to the once-human “infecteds”. Some cartoonish CGI and a mangled screenplay are downsides but this ripping sci-fi tale still brings definite chills.
