COMEDY’S on the menu at a new Geelong eatery, which has plans to bring regular funny gigs to town.

Infusion Cafe, which opened four months ago in South Geelong, will host its first Locally Grown Funnies event tonight.

While the show is a sellout, there are plans to make it a regular fixture — every second Thursday, starting November 16.

Cafe owner Luke Massey, 37, was inspired to reignite Geelong’s comedy scene after seeing his mate Tim Young’s success with Locally Grown Funnies in Ballarat.

Entry to the events, which will be limited to 30 people, will be free.

Mr Massey hopes to capture an audience of younger comedy fans by holding the events on Geelong’s “uni night”.

Food and drinks will be available at the venue from 6pm, with shows commencing at 8pm. FOR MORE DETAILS ON SHOWS, OR TO REGISTER INTEREST TO PERFORM, VISIT FACEBOOK.COM/ LOCALLYGROWNFUNNIES/ OR FOLLOW INFUSION CAFE IT was a Geelong reunion when
