A LOCAL firefighter showed his steady nerve under pressure to snare a high-end Highton property at auction on Saturday. Dean Linic’s wife was unable to attend the sale of 14-15 Shire Court, Highton but helped steer his winning bid of $877,000 with phone advice from afar. Mr Linic (pictured above right with Hodges, Geelong West agent Jeff Begg) said he was relieved when he could finally deliver the news they had bought the four-bedroom house. The couple, who live in South Valley Rd, Highton are relocating to luxurious digs on higher ground. Their new four-bedroom house, set over several levels, has views across the city, a pool and spa. It attracted two bidders at the auction and was declared on the market at $865,000.
