Torquay buyers find their fairytale

-

THE need for space and the want of a country lifestyle is what attracted a Barwon Heads family to a sprawling property in Wallington.

The 17.8ha property at 172-220 Lings Rd sold for close to the asking price of about $2.7 million.

RT Edgar, Barwon Heads agent Peter Lindeman said it was a fantastic property and the buyers were excited to move there.

“They are looking forward to bringing their children up there where they can have motorbikes and horses,” Mr Lindeman said.

With no other houses in sight the lifestyle property has a mature vineyard producing fruit sold to Scotchmans Hill, equestrian infrastructure and a four-bedroom house that was transformed from original farmhouse to a modern homestead, below.

It has a scenic dining conservatory, enclosed insect-proof veranda, pink sandstone fireplace and floor to ceiling windows.

INDENTED HEAD

A LARGE family house that was originally three townhouses has sold to a Melbourne investor.

The house at 9 Flinders St, Indented Head, right, sold for the full asking price of $650,000.

Hayeswinckle, Drysdale agent Grace Borg said the property wasn’t on the market for long and there were two parties wanting to buy it.

“It has an extremely versatile floorplan and has a lot of potential,” Ms Borg said.

Since the conversion into a five-bedroom house, a swim spa and garage have been added.

Now the 602sq m property has five car spaces, a large covered outdoor entertainment area, a man cave and a large house with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a study on the ground floor and two bedrooms with ensuites, an open-plan living area, loungeroom and bathroom upstairs.
