CHANCE OF A LIFETIME FOR FUTURE LEADERS

-

IF YOU live in Lara or Geelong’s northern suburbs and are interested in becoming a community leader, you could be eligible for a scholarship in an eightweek leadership program.

Bisinella Developments is sponsoring eight scholarship places in the Committee for Geelong’s Activate leadership program.

Activate targets emerging regional leaders and encourages the exploration and development of leadership potential for personal, professional and community benefit.

In 2017, Bisinella provided Activate scholarships for four Lara residents: Lisa Emanuel, Scott Millar, Bradley Ower and Mukesh Jalwal.

Mr Millar, owner of Millars Cafe in the Grand Lakes Estate at Lara, said the program taught him about the importance of mentors and seeking advice and guidance.

“The quality of guest speakers we were presented with each week was fantastic and listening to their stories of success resonated with me and my personal goals,” he said.

Bisinella Developments development manager Richard Bisinella said being able to support future leaders from Lara and the northern suburbs through programs like Activate was important to the organisation.

Scholarship applications close April 17.
