War medals go missing

-

A GEELONG woman is pleading for public assistance to help locate precious war medals lost after an Anzac Day service.

Stephanie Broad had been to Anzac commemorations to honour her father when she walked down Pakington St, Geelong West, with her family yesterday.

She then realised her father’s war medals were missing.

Ms Broad believes the medals were lost on Pakington St somewhere between Preston St and West Park.

Desperate to find the medals, Ms Broad retraced her steps — to no avail.

“I retraced my steps again and again but could not find the medals. I am hoping someone has picked them up and handed them in somewhere,” Ms Broad said on social media.

Ms Broad is pleading for public assistance to help find the medals.

“Understandably, I am very upset by this. I hope they come back to me.”

Anyone who finds the medals should contact Geelong police on 5225 3100.
