Groves gets two-year contract

-

PREMIERSHIP coach Paul Groves has been rewarded with a two-year contract extension after delivering the Western Bulldogs their first AFLW flag.

Groves will lead the women’s team during the summer months and be an assistant coach to the club’s VFL men’s side during winter.

Groves will also help out with the club’s VFLW side as a support to general manager of female football and VFLW coach Debbie Lee.

“The last two seasons have been an incredibly rewarding experience watching the girls grow and develop as players and people, and I’m thrilled to be able to continue on this journey,” Groves said.

“I’m really looking forward to working closely with Debbie in the VFLW space, and on top of that, to be a part of the Footscray program with Steve Grace is exciting.”

Carlton this week replaced foundation coach Damien Keeping with former Hawk and Blue, Daniel Harford.
