CINDY Millen is not one for standing still. Whether she’s jogging around Geelong in the early hours, trekking Kokoda with at-risk youth or shooting through the ranks of Victorian Police, one thing is certain; she’s always on the move.
After 29 years in the force, she has returned to work in the city she has long called home.

But when others tried to pigeonhole or curtail her ambition, based solely on gender, she has risen above the limitations.
“I’ll challenge the status quo; I’ll speak up,” Assistant Commissioner Millen said. “I’ve not come across barriers, because I’ve just walked through them. I don’t see them.”
