KEDDIES QUIT BEACH HOUSE TO GO BUSH

- TESSA HAYWARD

PROMINENT Australian film and television producer Richard Keddie is selling his holiday house in Anglesea.

Keddie, who is currently producing Ride Like a Girl, the life story of Melbourne Cupwinning jockey Michelle Payne, is well-known across the country for his work, including the film Oddball.

He is the uncle of Offspring star Asher Keddie

Great Ocean Properties, Anglesea agent Ian Lawless said Keddie and his wife Lisa had decided to sell their beach house at 31 Seventh Ave to go bush and have a tree change.

“It is a really beautiful 1960s beach house, it has been renovated but has retained the integrity of the original design,” Mr Lawless said.

The house has a modern open-plan living area that flows outside on to two separate decks.

Three bedrooms, each with built-in wardrobes, are down a hallway, while a guest bedroom or studio with ensuite is accessible via the back deck.

The house, on 856sq m of land, is surrounded by native and mature trees and extensive lawn. It is also a short walk from Point Roadknight beach.

Mr Lawless said it had a north-facing backyard and was quite private.

Offers on the property are required by June 20. Price hopes are $1.475 million to $1.575 million.
