NO CATTERS, NO PROBLEM

What better place to pick up food and fresh produce than an event supporting our local growers and makers?

Fruit, vegetables, fine wine, artisan bread, fresh blooms, free-range meats and cheeses are just some of items you can pick up. over the entrance to Port Phillip Heads and along the coast to Ocean Grove and Cape Schanck.

Visitors will hear stories of the area’s history and learn more of the notorious rip that makes the harbour entrance so dangerous.

General public tours are available tomorrow, 9.30am1pm, children must be 95cm tall to join in the fun. FOR something different, take a segway tour along Eastern Park and the Geelong Waterfront or Leura Park Estate on the Bellarine Peninsula.

The two-wheeled vehicle, driven by electric motors and controlled by the shifting weight back and forward, reaches up to 20km/h and is perfect for sightseeing.

Small group tours run at Geelong at 2.30pm daily and on the Bellarine at 10.30am daily.

For something extra, take advantage of the Segway and Dine Package at Leura Park Estate, which is available Thursday through Sunday. IF you’re looking for something to keep the young, or young at heart, active and entertained, there are plenty of options.

Geelong’s own Rock Adventure Centre is an indoor rock-climbing facility with climbs to suit everyone from beginners to experts.

There’s also Supatramp with more than 70 connected trampolines.

And if you fancy some mini-golf, Wallington’s famed A Maze ’N Games has a 24-hole course to explore. OK, if you really can’t go a weekend without getting your footy fix, why not throw your support behind the local clubs?

Week one of the GFL finals are on at GMHBA Stadium today and tomorrow afternoon, while week two of the GDFL finals will take place at Gordon Tafe Oval.
